Facelift

Face lift is one of the most well known cosmetic procedures. It is also one of the most rewarding procedures that correct the effects of aging on the face and spirit of the individual. It restores the youthful look to the face.

A facelift removes excess fat and skin, tightens the underlying muscles, and re-drapes the skin of the face and neck. Occasionally other procedures are combined with facelift eg. Forehead lift, eyebrow lift, eyelid surgery, or nose surgery.

Most of the facelift procedures are done as outpatient procedures in a surgeon's office, outpatient surgery centre or a hospital. Most of them are done under local anaesthesia. Most of the procedures take about three hours.

Most of the patients will be ready to go back to work in about 10 to 14 days.

Facelift is generally a safe procedure. As with any surgical procedure, there are some risks, which should be discussed with your surgeon.
